Material & Subfloor Preparation
Order 5% extra for cutting waste and grading. Inspect all planks in daylight. Subfloor must be clean, dry, flat to 3/16" per 10-foot radius. Concrete requires a moisture barrier. Wood subfloor moisture ≤ 13%.
Radiant Heat & Expansion
Compatible with floating installation only (max 85°F surface). Leave 1/4" expansion gap around all walls and fixed objects.
Drop-Lock Floating Installation
Installation Steps
Step 1: Measure room width. Ensure final row ≥ 1/3 plank width.
Step 2: Begin along the longest wall with 1/4" spacers. Cut tongue off first row.
Step 3: Connect first-row planks end-to-end by dropping the short end into place.
Step 4: For subsequent rows, angle the long edge at 20° into the previous row and press down, then slide and drop the short end to lock.
Step 5: Stagger end joints by at least 6". Use cut pieces ≥ 8" as row starters.
Step 6: Use rubber mallet and tapping block to ensure full engagement.
Step 7: Rip final row to width. Remove spacers and install trim.
Care & Maintenance
- Sweep or vacuum regularly. Damp mop with pH-neutral vinyl cleaner.
- No steam mops or abrasive cleaners. Wipe up spills promptly.
- Use felt pads under furniture. Place doormats at entrances.
- Maintain temperature 60°F–80°F, humidity 35%–55%.
